about me
I take pictures to document my life, which I think is called photo journalism. At least, that's how I think of it. :-)
Whenever possible, I take the time to frame the shot so it's appealing to me. If I can't take the time, then I snap as many photos as possible before having to move along and hope that there's at least one useable photo. I'm learning more about the creative zones on my camera and try to pay attention to the details.
I don't do a lot of post processing only because I'd rather take more photos! But when I do, I'll bump up the saturation a bit, sharpen, crop and even out the levels.
I always have a camera with me.
My main camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel. I use either my Canon EF 70-300mm or Tamron 28-200mm lens whenever I'm outdoors or when I want to zoom. I use a Canon EFS 18-55mm for macro shots, indoor photography, or whenever I need a quicker lens.
I also have a Canon SD630 for quick, spontaneous photographs, usually of people and kids. Whenever I don't have the time to frame the shot, I'll pull out the SD630. Plus I love being able to stuff it into my front pocket. Can't do that with the Rebel!
